Yes, but stay within sheltered coastal areas, bays, and estuaries — not open ocean or exposed surf. This boat is rated for calm to moderate water. Always check weather forecasts before launching, and stay within 500m of shore. Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater trip.
What size motor can I attach?
This model is designed for oar or paddle use. A small electric trolling motor (≤ 30 lbs thrust) can be used with a separately purchased transom mount. Gasoline engines are not recommended for this model.
How long does it take to inflate?
With the included foot pump, plan on 8–12 minutes to fill all chambers to operating pressure. With a 12V electric pump (sold separately), cut that to 3–5 minutes. Check pressure with a gauge before launching — tubes should feel firm but not rock-hard (typically 2.5–3.0 PSI).
What is the maximum weight capacity?
Maximum rated capacity is 280 kg (617 lbs) including passengers and gear. For stable, comfortable fishing, keep the total load under 220 kg. Distributing weight evenly between front and rear improves handling.
What if I get a puncture on the water?
Stay calm — the multi-chamber design keeps you afloat even with one chamber deflated. Paddle calmly to shore. Once on land, locate the puncture (apply soapy water to find bubbles), dry the area, and apply a PVC patch from the included repair kit. The patch bonds fully in 10 minutes.
